Virtual Enterprise

Virtual Enterprise teaches students about business, entrepreneurship, finance, economics and technology through a task-based curriculum and hands-on activities. Guided by a teacher/facilitator, students create and manage a virtual company, conducting business with other virtual firms nationally and internationally.

Virtual Enterprise is a creative course offered at Mission Vista High School.  Rather than walking into a classroom and reading a textbook, students walk into a “business”.  Using project-based learning students will complete real-world tasks and learn lessons that will help prepare them for many of life’s challenges.

Not only will students learn all aspects of working in a business, but will also learn how to budget, choose the right health insurance, purchase a car, rent an apartment, make ethical decisions, obtain and use credit wisely, shop online, invest in stocks and complete a 1040ez tax form.
