Course Preparation

Calculators

The Math Department recommends students purchase a graphing calculator, if they don’t already have one.  Texas Instruments is highly suggested over other brands.  We recommend one of the following Texas Instruments models (from least to most expensive):  TI 83+, TI 84+, TI 84+ Silver Edition, TI nSpire-cx, or TI nSpire-cx CAS.  The TI 89 is not recommended.

Advance Placement Courses

Taking an Advance Placement Course on a 4x4 schedule can be challenging.  In order to be better prepared for the course, it is strongly recommended that you review the topics listed prior to your first day of class.

It would be wise for you to watch videos, take notes, and study the topics you are less familiar with so that you are better prepared for the course.

Honors

In order to be better prepared for the Honors Math Analysis course, it is strongly recommended that you review the topics listed prior to your first day of class.

It would be wise for you to watch videos, take notes, and study the topics you are less familiar with so that you are better prepared for the course.
